At the Faculty of Plant Protection, Agrochemistry and Soil Science of Tashkent State Agrarian University, a meeting was organized on the topic: “Combating Digital Violence.” The event was opened by the First Vice-Rector of the university, J. Lapasov. The meeting was attended by Sh. Safoyeva, Gender Equality Program Specialist at UNFPA and Master of Arts in Human Rights from Columbia University (New York); N. Khojayeva, Project Coordinator of the UNFPA Gender Equality Program; and S. Rasulov, Communications Assistant at UNFPA. During the session, the concept of digital violence, its types, prevention mechanisms, creating a safe digital environment among youth, and gender equality issues were widely discussed.
UNFPA — the United Nations Population Fund — works in the fields of sexual and reproductive health, gender equality, protection of women’s and youth rights, and eliminating child marriage and gender-based violence.
