The event began with a quote from our President:
"Corruption is such a malignant vice that it undermines the people’s trust in the state, the Constitution, and the laws, and becomes a serious threat to sustainable development and security." The discussion highlighted the harmful impact of corruption on societal development, promoted legal awareness among students and staff, reinforced the principles of transparency and integrity, and introduced practical mechanisms to prevent corruption. Participants included representatives of the Tashkent City Territorial Department of the Bar Association, Z. Usmonov and S. Polatov; Deputy Military Prosecutor of Chirchiq and Captain of the Justice Department, Sh. Shoakbarov; Head of the Qibray District Justice Department and Associate Professor of Law, D. Matrasulov; First Vice-Rector of Tashkent State Agrarian University, J. Lapasov; as well as responsible staff, faculty tutors, and professors of the university.During the discussion, experts spoke about urgent issues in the fight against corruption, legislative changes, and provided detailed explanations regarding Article 210 of the Criminal Code. They discussed the prevention of bribery, the responsibilities of officials, and practical aspects of their duties with the participants. Attendees raised questions of interest and received comprehensive answers from the experts.
At the conclusion of the roundtable, proposals were made to strengthen the culture of anti-corruption at the university, expand legal awareness activities across departments, and further promote the principles of integrity among students and staff.
