Agrarian Scientist Creates Eco-Friendly Melon Marmalade

view 9

Sh. Hoshimova, a second-stage PhD researcher at Tashkent State Agrarian University, became the winner of a competition for sending young scientists on research internships and completed her training at Balıkesir University in Türkiye. During the internship, she conducted practical research on the waste-free processing of melons widely grown in the Mirzachul, Arnasoy, Dostlik, and Sharof Rashidov districts of Jizzakh region. As a result of her studies, she developed an efficient technology for producing natural marmalade from melons. During the experiments, Türkiye’s Kirkagach, Dolaman, and Yerlik melon varieties were compared with Uzbekistan’s Kökcha, Qirqma, and Kampir varieties, yielding valuable scientific data. The researcher also studied long-term melon storage technologies at large warehouses in the Turkish city of Manisa.

Based on laboratory analyses, comparative results, and practical experiments, Sh. Hoshimova is preparing a scientific article. The paper is planned to be published in 2026 and will be submitted to one of the international journals indexed in SCOPUS.
