The regular 7th meeting of the Council was held at Tashkent State Agrarian University. During the meeting, a number of pressing issues related to the university’s current and future activities were comprehensively discussed. At the beginning of the meeting, an award ceremony was held. Following this, the Rector of the University, N. Oblomuradov, provided Council members with detailed information on the priority tasks outlined during the meeting of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with representatives of the agricultural sector, held at the Kuksaroy Residence on the occasion of the Day of Agricultural Workers. Particular emphasis was placed on the role of higher education institutions, especially in training qualified personnel for the agrarian sector and strengthening the integration of science and practice. One of the key items on the agenda was the review of the university’s scientific potential and the current state of its research activities. In this regard, extensive discussions were held on ongoing scientific research at the university, the research activity of faculty members, achievements in national and international scientific projects and grants, as well as publications in reputable scientific journals. In addition, proposals and recommendations were presented to enhance the effectiveness of research activities and to support young researchers.
The meeting also heard a report on the university’s international cooperation, transformation, and strategic development directions. On this matter, Vice-Rector A. Abduvasikov presented information on the results achieved during the first half of the 2025/2026 academic year. In particular, issues related to expanding cooperation with foreign higher education institutions, implementing joint educational programs, academic exchange initiatives, and the progress of transformation processes were discussed.
Furthermore, the meeting addressed issues related to anti-corruption measures, improving the system of academic integrity and conflict of interest management, ensuring cleanliness and order on the university campus, enhancing environmental awareness, and strengthening public order. The work carried out in these areas was analyzed, and relevant instructions were given to those responsible.
Decisions were adopted on the agenda items, and special emphasis was placed on the importance of ensuring the timely and high-quality implementation of assigned tasks. In addition, Rector N. Oblomuradov outlined specific objectives aimed at improving the quality of education in line with international standards, attracting foreign professors, and expanding student exchange programs.
At the conclusion of the meeting, opinions and feedback were heard, after which the Rector extended New Year greetings to all participants.
