Reaching 100 Centners of Wheat Yield and Water Conservation: Scientists Study Field Experiments

view 97

Scientists from the Tashkent State Agrarian University are conducting extensive scientific research on the rational use of water resources and ensuring food security in agriculture. Specifically, a project team led by Professor J. Eshonkulov of the Department of Agronomy and Agrotechnologies visited the Jizzakh and Fergana regions to study field experiments on the irrigation and fertilization of winter wheat based on water-saving technologies. During the study, wheat development was analyzed at the scientific experimental station in the Pakhtakor district of Jizzakh and the "Imomali Qosimovich" farm in Fergana. Phenological observations were conducted regarding water-saving irrigation rates, fertilization systems, and biometric indicators of the plants.b

The republic aims to implement water-saving technologies on 80% of irrigated lands by 2028. This scientific project intends to automate irrigation processes, ensure a guaranteed supply of resources in areas with severe water shortages, and, most importantly, increase wheat yield to 100 centners per hectare.
