The meeting is dedicated to discussing qualification requirements and curricula of the three-year educational programs to be introduced in agricultural higher education institutions starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, in accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-135 dated April 11, 2026.

The event brings together leading experts from ministries and agencies, higher education institutions, research institutes, and employer organizations. Participants are comprehensively reviewing the content of the new educational model, its level of integration with practical training, as well as improved curricula developed based on international experience.
In the development of the three-year education programs, the requirements of the labor market and the needs of employers have been set as the main criteria. At the same time, the experience of leading agricultural universities worldwide has been thoroughly studied:
In particular, the practical and research-based integrated educational models of prestigious universities such as Wageningen University & Research, University of California, Davis, and China Agricultural University were analyzed. In addition, effective approaches from Humboldt University of Berlin and Tokyo University of Agriculture were also examined.
In the new curricula, the balance between theoretical and practical training has been defined as follows:
1st year — 60% theoretical, 40% practical
2nd year — 50% theoretical, 50% practical
3rd year — 30% theoretical, 70% practical
This approach is aligned with the principles of the dual education system and aims to gradually bring students closer to real production processes. As a result, graduates will not only possess strong theoretical knowledge but will also become practice-ready professionals capable of innovative thinking.
The meeting will conclude with question-and-answer sessions, discussions, and visits to the university’s scientific and practical infrastructure facilities.
