At a meeting of the Scientific Council at Tashkent State Agrarian University (TSAU), Munimjon Abdusamatov, an 81-year-old scientist and citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan, successfully defended his dissertation submitted for the degree of Doctor of Agricultural Sciences (DSc).
His research, entitled “Scientific Foundations for Improving the Reclamation Status of Irrigated Lands and Issues Related to Enhancing the Performance of On-Farm Irrigation Systems (Under the Conditions of the Lower Part of the Vakhsh River Basin),” focuses on the efficient use of water resources, improving the reclamation status of irrigated lands, and increasing the efficiency of irrigation systems.
Throughout his many years of scientific work, Munimjon Abdusamatov has conducted research in water management, hydraulic engineering, land reclamation, and ecology. A total of 33 scientific papers have been published as part of his dissertation research. Of these, 16 appeared in scientific journals, including 3 in international journals and 1 in a journal indexed in the Scopus database.
