The conference began with the opening remarks of Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and Innovation, K. Sultanov. The event was attended by the Director General of the Agency for Technical Regulation under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, A. Jumanazarov; Project Manager of the Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Cristina Lopriore; Head of the Department for Implementation and Labeling of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) of the Ministry of Agriculture, A. Djumanozov; as well as university professors and students. The conference discussed issues of food security, the implementation of international standards, the importance of biotechnology, and the enhancement of export potential. Speakers provided recommendations on applying advanced international practices in agriculture, producing eco-friendly and safe products, introducing innovative technologies into production, increasing the effectiveness of scientific research, and broadly engaging young scientists in these processes.
At the conclusion of the conference, it was emphasized that strengthening the integration of education, science, and production is essential to achieve sustainable agricultural development and to produce competitive products for the international market.
