In honor of World Soil Day, a roundtable discussion was organized at the Faculty of Plant Protection, Agrochemistry and Soil Science. The event was opened with warm remarks by the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, K. Sultonov. During the discussion, the Faculty Dean T. Shamsiddinov provided detailed information about World Soil Day. Representatives of FAO Uzbekistan and the Chief Coordinator of the WFF Uzbekistan Youth Chapter, M. Kholdorov, also delivered their speeches during the opening part of the event. The roundtable was attended by S. Sodiqova, Associate Professor of the Department of Agrochemistry and Soil Science of TSAU; B. Musayev, Chief Specialist of the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change; and I. Sultonov, Leader of the WFF Uzbekistan Youth Division. They delivered presentations on soil protection in Uzbekistan, measures taken to improve soil fertility, as well as the impact of climate change on soil productivity.
During the event, engaging Q&A sessions and scientific presentations were held. The winners of the photography contest were awarded, and participants had the opportunity to explore the activities of the Department of Agrochemistry and Soil Science.
