The seminar was organized within the framework of the project
“Afforestation and Greening of Forest and Urban Areas of Tashkent Region Based on Smart Technologies” for 2024–2028, with a total budget of USD 7.7 million, implemented in cooperation with the Agency for Increasing Forest and Green Areas and Combating Desertification under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Representative Office of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Uzbekistan. Leading specialists from the Republic of Korea and Uzbekistan participated in the seminar and discussed Korea’s advanced experience and best practices in the fields of urban and residential greening, ornamental horticulture, landscape design, and forest restoration. In addition, views were exchanged on the possibilities of applying this experience under the conditions of Uzbekistan, particularly in agrarian education and scientific-practical activities. The seminar was of great importance for the faculty members and students of Tashkent State Agrarian University in studying international experience and enhancing practical knowledge.
At the end of the meeting, the participants became closely acquainted with the Ornamental Seedling Production Laboratory established in the building of the Faculty of Forestry and Landscape Design.
