At Tashkent State Agrarian University, a high-level spiritual and educational event titled “The Role and Significance of Amir Temur and the Timurids in Human Civilization” was held on the occasion of the 690th anniversary of the birth of the great statesman and commander Amir Temur. The event was organized by the Department of Social and Humanitarian Sciences and was opened with an introductory speech by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs S. Boboyev. During the event, Professor Abdumajid Madraimov, a leading researcher of the State Museum of the History of the Timurids, delivered a lecture on the great creative and constructive activities of Amir Temur, while To‘lqin Hayit, Head of Department of the museum and Honored Cultural Worker of Uzbekistan, presented an interesting report on the essence of the economic reforms carried out by Amir Temur. During the discussion, special attention was given to the development of science and culture during the Timurid period, particularly the great contributions of scholars such as Mirzo Ulugbek and Alisher Navoi to world civilization. It was emphasized that the legacy of Amir Temur has left an indelible mark not only on national statehood but also on the entire human civilization and remains relevant even today.
At the end of the event, an engaging question-and-answer session and discussions between students and experts further strengthened the young generation’s respect for history and their sense of national pride.
