At the initiative of the Zooengineering Faculty of Tashkent State Agrarian University, a literary and artistic event titled “In Memory of Great Ancestors” was organized, dedicated to the 585th anniversary of the great thinker Alisher Navoi and the 543rd anniversary of the king and poet Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur. The event was attended as an honorary guest by Muhtarama Ulug‘ova — Honored Cultural Worker of Uzbekistan, member of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, recipient of the “Shuhrat” medal and the “Mehnat shuhrati” order, and a well-known writer. During the event, the spiritual and educational significance of Alisher Navoi’s творчество and the role of Babur’s heritage in the moral upbringing of youth were discussed. Students performed ghazals and rubaiyat, and artistic performances were presented.
In addition, Muhtarama Ulug‘ova spoke about her creative and journalistic experience, as well as her works that won national competitions, and encouraged young people to read more and respect their mother tongue. At the end of the event, the guest was warmly thanked by the university administration and students.
