At Tashkent State Agrarian University, awareness-raising events dedicated to the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women continue

A roundtable discussion was organized under the slogan “Let’s unite to end digital violence against women.” The event was aimed at protecting women’s rights, promoting a culture of safety in the online space, and preventing digital violence. The event was opened by the University’s First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work, J. Lapasov. The roundtable was attended by Sh. Sodiqova, Deputy Head of the Department for the Prevention of Offenses of the Tashkent Regional Police Department for Women’s Affairs, Lieutenant Colonel, and D. Maxamadaminova, Director of the Rehabilitation Center for women subjected to pressure and violence under the Tashkent Regional Department of the National Social Protection Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. They shared their views on the topic.

In addition, the Chairwoman of the University Women’s Affairs Advisory Council, G. Shodmonova, provided information on ongoing efforts to prevent digital violence and offered students valuable recommendations. The event was attended by faculty members and more than 100 students. The event equipped participants with essential knowledge and skills on protecting themselves in the digital space, enhancing legal awareness, and actively combating violence
