The team of Tashkent State Agrarian University expresses its deepest condolences to the family members, relatives, students, and colleagues of Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Igor Vladimirovich Belolipov, who made an outstanding contribution to the development of agricultural science, on the occasion of his passing.
Igor Vladimirovich Belolipov was born on February 20, 1939, in Tashkent. He devoted his entire life to the advancement of science and education. During more than 61 years of scientific and pedagogical activity, he made significant contributions to the development of botanical science in Uzbekistan, plant introduction, biodiversity conservation, and the protection of rare and endangered plant species.
For the first time in Uzbekistan, he studied the introduction characteristics of 12 major types of wild-growing plants and developed ecological-introduction methods that serve to determine the introduction potential of representatives of the country's natural flora.
The distinguished scholar was the author of more than 200 scientific papers, monographs, textbooks, and teaching manuals. He was also one of the co-authors of the editions of the Red Data Book of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Professor I.V. Belolipov’s contributions to the development of science were highly recognized by the state. He was awarded the Order of Friendship (Do‘stlik), the Order of Labor Glory (Mehnat Shuhrati), and the badge “Excellent Worker of Higher Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan.”
His meaningful life, rich scientific legacy, and dedicated service will forever remain in the hearts of his colleagues, students, and the wider public.
