Faculty of Forestry and Landscape Design

The Faculty of Forestry and Landscape Design is a modern educational institution dedicated to the in-depth study of nature conservation, the creation of green environments, and medicinal plants that contribute to human health.

 

Students at the faculty thoroughly study forest resource management, landscape design, and advanced methods of cultivating medicinal plants.

 

The training of forestry specialists began at the Tashkent Agricultural Institute in 1944. Building on many years of experience and tradition, the faculty today prepares highly qualified professionals with strong practical and scientific potential.

History of the Faculty

O‘RMON XO‘JALIGI VA LANDSHAFTLI DIZAYN FAKULTETI

In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 311 "On measures to further improve the provision of highly qualified personnel with higher education in the field of agriculture and water management" dated November 3, 2015, the Faculty of Forestry and Medicinal Plants was established.
In accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-4421 "On measures to further improve the activities of the Tashkent State Agrarian University" dated August 19, 2019, the faculty was renamed the Faculty of Forestry and Landscape Design.
Associate professors for the training of highly qualified personnel for forestry: O.I. Podolskaya, L.V. Yaskina, I.A. Kulbachny, A.L. Danilin, Kumzullaev, G. Umarov, V. Grigorov; assistants: K.Khashimov, H.T.Kasimov, Sh.T.Yusupov, S.I.Pugachev, E. I.Pugachev, B. Mirzabaev, S.V. Druzhinin and others made their contribution. The training of forestry specialists began at the Tashkent Agricultural Institute in 1944. In different years, students of the forestry specialty were part of an independent faculty or faculties combined with other specialties. An independent forestry faculty operated from 1980 to 1993 and has been operating since 2015. The first dean of the combined faculty since 1944 was associate professor V.I. Serbinov. After that, in 1965, the faculty was headed by associate professors A.V. Gvozdikov, N.A. Bezrodnov, S.M. Ablaev, S.M. Mirkhashimov. In 1965-1971, the dean was associate professor A. Sh. Khamraev, and from 1972 to 1980, associate professor of the Department of Fruit Growing and Viticulture T. T. Tursunov.
From 1980 to 1987, the independent faculty of forestry was headed by professor S. M. Ablaev, and from 1988 to 1993, associate professor G. K. Kumzullaev.
From 1994 to 2015, the direction of forestry education was part of the faculties of fruit and vegetable growing, agronomy and plant protection.
In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 311 dated November 3, 2015 "On measures to further improve the provision of agriculture and water management sectors with highly qualified personnel with higher education", the faculty of "Forestry and Medicinal Plants" was created. The dean of this faculty in 2015-2017 was associate professor Ch.R. Begimkulov, in 2017-2018 associate professor S.T. Dzhuraev, in 2017-2018 associate professor D.U. Mamadiyarov in 2018-2019.
