Zooengineering Faculty

If you are interested in the breeding, feeding, and management of farm animals, protecting humans and animals from diseases, expanding aquaculture and apiculture production, rearing silkworms, producing cocoons, and supplying raw materials for the sericulture industry—this faculty is just for you!

 

Students at the faculty learn to apply foreign innovative technologies in areas such as animal feeding and care at livestock farms, diagnosing and treating animals in veterinary clinics, breeding rare fish, raising and feeding silkworms, breeding bees, and producing eco-friendly products.

 

The history of the faculty dates back to 1924. Today, the Faculty of Zooinjeneriya not only trains highly qualified specialists in its field but also significantly contributes to the development of agriculture.

 

Currently, the faculty consists of:

 

• 12 Doctors of Science,
• 23 Candidates of Science,
• Over 45 faculty members.

Thanks to their efforts, over 3,500 specialists have graduated from this faculty to date.

History of the Faculty

1924

Zooengineering Faculty

The Central Asian Agricultural Institute was established in 1924 as the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Central Asia. In the same year, the Department of Agronomy and Sericulture was established, which to this day trains leading specialists in the field of agriculture: zoo-engineers, veterinarians and zoo-technicians (by species). In accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-3704 dated 8 May 2018, the Faculty of Zootechnics was renamed into the Faculty of Zooengineering.
