The event was opened with a welcoming speech by the university rector, N. Oblomuradov, who stated: “One can defend the Motherland not only with weapons, but also with sharp intellect and knowledge. The role of youth in the agrarian field is invaluable. I sincerely congratulate all of you on the 95th anniversary of our university.” The rector also recalled the President’s words about the “golden generation,” emphasizing that this meeting serves as an important opportunity for young people to learn from the experience of previous generations and to set their goals for the future. The event was attended by Hero of Uzbekistan A. Eshmatov, Deputy Director of the National Center for Knowledge and Innovation in Agriculture O. Amanov, Head of “Parkent Plants” LLC (Parkent District) Sh. Abbosov, Chairman of “Navbahor” Neighborhood Citizens’ Assembly of Boyovut District, Syrdarya Region, J.Rahmonov, and other distinguished alumni. Shuhrat Abbosov, head of “Parkent Plants” LLC, graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2004 and a master’s degree in 2006, and completed an internship in California, USA. Currently, he is one of the country’s leading figures in intensive horticulture. He proposed an initiative to develop online content and literature using artificial intelligence. Jo‘rabek Rahmonov, chairman of “Navbahor” Neighborhood Citizens’ Assembly in Syrdarya Region, said: “When I entered the university, it felt as if it wasn’t 95 years old, but rather a youthful 18 — so vibrant and full of life. I express my gratitude to our President for the excellent conditions created.” He spoke about studying under professors Z. Saidnosirova, Dehqonboyev, N. Khojayev, and Siddiqov, graduating with honors, achieving a crop yield of 45 quintals per hectare on saline soils, and concluded his speech by saying, “I am proud of my destiny and my alma mater.” A. Akhmedjanova, Chairwoman of the “Women in the Agrarian Sector of Uzbekistan” Association, proudly highlighted the modern facilities established at the university — new lecture halls, sports complexes, and recreation areas. During the event, students actively engaged in discussions with alumni. A proposal was made for each student to plant one tree and donate one book to the university library. Alumni also proposed forming volunteer-based regional university associations to further enhance the university’s reputation. The cultural segment featured performances by the “Bo‘ston” song and dance ensemble, who presented national melodies and songs such as “Mast aylading,” “Mustahzod,” “Qizil o‘rik,” and “Lazgi.” The lively dances of female students created a joyful and festive atmosphere.
A warm and vibrant energy filled the audience. The celebration continued! The “Meeting of Three Generations” event became an integral and meaningful part of the festivities dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Tashkent State Agrarian University.
