Today, the Tashkent State Agrarian University became a true platform for the exchange of experience! Professor Kawabata Yoshiko from the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology visited our university and conducted a special practical training seminar (workshop) for horticulture students, professors, and persimmon growers. Within the framework of this international event, participants gained valuable knowledge and skills in the following important areas: Astringent persimmon varieties suitable for drying, optimal harvesting times, and international fruit quality standards were discussed. Additionally, the famous Japanese persimmon drying technology (hoshigaki) and a special guide were introduced.
Participants received detailed answers to their questions directly from the Japanese professor. The prospects of establishing dried persimmon production under Uzbekistan's conditions and future scientific-practical cooperation were thoroughly discussed. Such international seminars not only enrich the practical skills of young specialists but also serve to further enhance our country's potential in processing and producing export-oriented goods!
