Renaissance Complex – a hub of scientific dialogue uniting scholars from around the world!

In honor of the 95th anniversary of Tashkent State Agrarian University, an international scientific and practical conference titled “Sustainable Development of Agriculture and Ensuring Food Security under Global Climate Change” was held at the Renaissance Lecture Complex. This scientific forum stood out for its scale, the diversity of participants, and the relevance of the topics discussed. The Renaissance Complex this time became a true center of scientific dialogue and exchange of experience. Distinguished scientists and international experts from Russia, China, Türkiye, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan, along with leading specialists from our republic, gathered under one roof. Within the framework of the conference, five thematic sections were organized: Section 1 – “Issues of Sustainable Development of Agricultural Systems under Global Climate Change.” This section focused on the impact of climate change on the sustainability of the agrarian sector and adaptation strategies. Among the speakers were R. Qarshiyev, Deputy Minister of Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Prof. Xinyu Xian from Guangdong Ocean University; Prof. Tunahan Erdem from Çukurova University; and several university rectors from Uzbekistan. The discussion addressed ways to enhance ecological efficiency. Section 2 – “Sustainable Forestry: Harmony of Nature and Development.” This session was devoted to the development of forestry, expansion of green areas, and environmental sustainability. Among the participants were A. Khamzayev, Head of the Ecological Party faction in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis; Prof. Soner Kazaz from Ankara University; Prof. B. Karimov from Osh State University; and other leading scientists.

Section 3 – “The Role of Science and Innovation in Ensuring Food Security.” Scientific research findings were presented here. N. Yuldoshev, Director of the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry and Biotechnology (Tashkent branch), spoke about the study on “Local Anthelmintic Agents against Helminthic Diseases in Livestock.” Section 4 – “Innovative Agrotechnologies, Plant Protection, and Combating Soil Degradation.” This section featured presentations by Prof. L. Gafurova (National University of Uzbekistan) and Prof. A. Sagitov (Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan), who shared their scientific insights. Section 5 – “Sustainable Development of Agricultural Systems under Global Climate Change.” Professors from the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan discussed the effects of climate change on agricultural sustainability, adaptation strategies, and ways to improve environmental efficiency. Today, the Renaissance Lecture Complex is recognized not only as a venue for scientific conferences but also as a new global scientific platform, bringing together scholars from around the world for the exchange of ideas and experiences.
