On the initiative of the Tashkent State Agrarian University (TSAU), short-term training courses have been launched across the regions of the republic. These courses aim to widely involve women in the sericulture sector, ensure their employment, and establish a source of income. This initiative is being implemented as part of the execution of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. UP-72, dated May 3, 2024, "On measures to accelerate the introduction of market mechanisms in the field of cocoon cultivation and sericulture," and the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 46, dated January 29, 2025, "On measures for the gradual employment of women in the sericulture sector."
In these training seminars, women aiming to establish their own income through silkworm rearing exchange views with industry experts based on the principle "Cocoon—A Source of Income."
Furthermore, training courses were conducted by TSAU professors in various regions: Professor Umirzak Tukhtamirodovich Daniyarov in Surkhandarya, Kashkadarya, Samarkand, and Jizzakh regions; Professor Sobir Navruzovich Navruzov in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Khorezm, Bukhara, and Navoi regions; and Professor Shavkat Ramazonovich Umarov in Andijan, Fergana, Namangan, Tashkent, and Syrdarya regions.
