Temperature and Humidity Control in Greenhouses

view 194

Maintaining stable temperature and humidity levels in greenhouses is a key factor in ensuring healthy plant growth, preventing diseases, and achieving high yields. Temperature control: The optimal daytime temperature should be 20–26°C, and the optimal nighttime temperature should be 15–18°C. Sudden drops in temperature can cause plant stress and slow down growth. Regular heating and ventilation of the greenhouse, the use of thermometers and automatic sensors, and reinforcing greenhouse insulation during cold periods are essential. Humidity control: The optimal relative humidity level should be 60–75%. Excessive humidity can lead to the development of fungal diseases, while insufficient humidity causes leaf drying. When using drip irrigation, ventilation should be increased in case of excess moisture, and irrigation should be carried out in the early morning hours. Disease prevention: To prevent diseases, it is necessary to regularly disinfect the greenhouse, avoid the formation of condensation (water dripping), and maintain proper spacing between plants.
