In order to implement the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ–181 of June 2, 2023 (“On additional measures to accelerate Uzbekistan’s accession to the World Trade Organization”) and the Decree No. PF–67 of April 18, 2025 (“On measures to stimulate production, export and entrepreneurial activity, and to increase the efficiency of trade and industrial policy”), consistent work is being carried out in our country. Within this framework, an international seminar-training on the topic “Principles of Ensuring Food Safety Based on Risk Assessment, GHP, GMP and HACCP Rules” was organized in cooperation with Tashkent State Agrarian University. The event was attended by international expert Frederik Mens.
This seminar was held with the cooperation of the Committee on Sanitary and Epidemiological Wellbeing and Public Health under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the EU ASK Facility, and within the framework of the project “Partners for the Implementation of the Strategy for the Development of Uzbekistan’s Agro-Food Products.” The main goal of the seminar was to familiarize participants with the rules and standards of the Codex Alimentarius “General Principles of Food Hygiene”, to highlight their practical importance, and to explain in depth their role within the GHP system.
