In honor of the 95th anniversary of Tashkent State Agrarian University, a presentation of the book titled “Fates Connected to the Land” was held, dedicated to the university’s rich and meaningful history. The event was opened by the university’s rector, Professor N. Oblomuradov, who said in his welcoming speech: “This work will serve as a new source for the golden generation. It reflects the 95-year journey of Tashkent State Agrarian University, the fates of devoted scholars, students who chose the path of science, and their achievements. Undoubtedly, it represents an invaluable page in the university’s history.” The event was attended by A. Kuchimov, writer, Director General of the National Information Agency of Uzbekistan, Honored Journalist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, holder of the “Shukhrat” medal and the “Mehnat Shukhrati” order; Muhammad Ali, poet, translator, People’s Writer of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the International Amir Temur Foundation, Honored Mentor of Youth of Uzbekistan, laureate of the Berdakh State Prize of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, and holder of the “Mehnat Shukhrati” order; M. Hazratkulov, Editor-in-Chief of Guliston magazine, Honored Journalist of Uzbekistan, holder of the “Mehnat Shukhrati” and “For Selfless Service” orders; Salim Ashur, Honored Journalist of Uzbekistan and Deputy Chairman of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan; N. Jabborov, professor at Tashkent State University of the Uzbek Language and Literature; Ch. Latipov, Editor-in-Chief of Qishloq Hayoti newspaper; Professor Kh. Sheraliyev, Chairman of the Council of Veterans, as well as university professors, teachers, and students. During the presentation, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry A. Shaykhov took the floor and stated:
“This book is a source of pride and inspiration. Just as a tree bears fruit only when it is cared for with love, attention to the history of the university will also yield abundant results in the future.” He also added: “As Erkin Turdiyevich Shaykhov once said, I am confident that in the future this university will join the ranks of leading higher education institutions recognized internationally. Today, we can proudly say that these words are becoming a reality.” At the end of the event, Muhammad Ali presented the university with his books “Amir Temur and the Figures of the Temurid Era” and “Al-Zafariya (Zafarnama)”, while Salim Ashur gifted over 100 books from the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan. These works further enriched the collection of the university’s Information and Resource Center.
At the conclusion, Salim Ashur, Chairman of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, said: “Dear students! On the occasion of this celebration of science and knowledge — the 95th anniversary of Tashkent State Agrarian University — I wish the rector and the entire team strength, high achievements, and new creative success. May this book serve as a symbol of spirituality and science, inspiring you to new accomplishments.” Finally, Rector N. Oblomuradov paid tribute to the honored mentors and expressed special gratitude to the staff members who actively participated in the organization of the event.
The book “Fates Connected to the Land” remains a priceless gift and a memorable tribute dedicated to the 95-year history of the university.
