Cooperation with Germany’s leading agricultural university to be elevated to a new stage

As part of the visit of rectors of higher education institutions to the Federal Republic of Germany, the Rector of Tashkent State Agrarian University, Narzullo Oblomuradov, visited one of Germany’s prestigious higher education institutions — the Weihenstephan–Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (HSWT) — and held a meeting with the Vice President for International Affairs, Professor Dr. habil. Karsten Lorz.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of cooperation in agricultural education and science, the introduction of joint educational programs, the expansion of student and faculty exchange initiatives, as well as the implementation of joint research projects. The discussions placed special emphasis on prospects for cooperation in modern agricultural technologies, food security, environmental sustainability, and the practical application of innovative developments.
For reference, the Weihenstephan–Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences is one of Germany’s leading higher education institutions in the fields of agriculture, ecology, biotechnology, food technology, forestry, and renewable energy. The university is widely recognized for its practice-oriented education model, modern scientific laboratories, and extensive international cooperation programs.
The meeting concluded with agreements aimed at further strengthening cooperation between the two universities, developing international educational programs, and advancing scientific collaboration to a new level. This partnership is expected to enhance the quality of agricultural education, increase scientific potential, introduce international experience, and contribute to the training of highly qualified professionals.
