Tashkent State Agrarian University, in cooperation with the “Reading Academy” and the Department for Youth Affairs, Spirituality and Enlightenment, organized an educational meeting on the topic: “What should we primarily focus on to preserve our language and national identity in the era of globalization?”
The guest of the meeting was renowned linguist, historian, and intellectual content creator Eldar Asanov, who scientifically demonstrated the direct connection between ancient inscriptions—long considered little-known in international Turkology—and modern Uzbek dialects.
The event was attended by the leadership of Tashkent State Agrarian University, linguists, faculty members, and students.
During the open and engaging discussion, participants exchanged views on the relationship and contradictions between written sources and oral history, the processes of national self-awareness, the enlightenment movement of the Jadids, and the role of the native language in contemporary development and its preservation for future generations.
