A screening of the documentary film “Earth’s Call” dedicated to issues of agricultural development and environmental sustainability was held at Tashkent State Agrarian University

The event was organized in cooperation with the Zamin International Public Foundation, the Food Security Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and Tashkent State Agrarian University. The event was opened by the First Vice-Rector of Tashkent State Agrarian University, J. Lapasov. Representatives of FAO, the Department for Agricultural Development of the Ministry of Agriculture, university faculty members, and students took part in the event.

The documentary film was presented to the audience. The main idea of the film focuses on highlighting the crucial role of soil resources in ensuring food security. It also addresses issues such as climate change, soil degradation, and presents scientifically based solutions to these problems. Within the framework of the event, Associate Professor G. Mirkhaydarova from the Department of Agrochemistry and Soil Science of Tashkent State Agrarian University delivered a presentation on the importance of World Soil Day. Professor M. Saidova also participated with a lecture.
