The Department of Ecology and Botany is engaged in training highly qualified specialists who meet the modern requirements of the organisations of the relevant branches of our country.
The chair conducts scientific research on ecology and environmental protection, study of negative impacts on the natural environment during climate change, bioecology, hydroecology, meteorology, study of negative impacts of plants, animals and waste on the environment, scientific substantiation of optimal solutions. As a result of the research work of the teaching staff of the department, a number of our teachers have prepared and defended theses. In recent years, the teaching staff of the department has published more than 13 textbooks and 2 manuals. The students of bachelor specialities of the department ‘Ecology and Environmental Protection’ and ‘Meteorology and Climatology’ take honourable places at republican and international scientific Olympiads, conferences and competitions.
