As part of the press tour held at Tashkent State Agrarian University on the topic “Media Literacy and Information Independence – The Foundation of New Uzbekistan,” a comprehensive and meaningful event was organized for the media representatives. The press tour began with the participation of the First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work, J. Lapasov. He provided journalists with detailed information about the efforts being made to improve the quality of education, conduct scientific research, and unleash the potential of young people. At the start, participants visited the “Art Gallery” exhibition featuring works of art created by talented students. The exhibition reflected not only students’ interest in science but also in art. During the event, journalists became acquainted with the activities of the “Honey Quality Analysis” laboratory. The scientific studies being conducted on the quality, composition, and edibility of natural honey sparked great interest among them. The next stop was the Center for Freezing and Storage Technologies of Food Products. Here, the participants explored innovative approaches to maintaining product quality, extending shelf life, and ensuring food safety. The press tour continued at the university’s scientific research and experimental training farm. Participants visited the “Fruit and Vegetable Processing and Drying Laboratory,” established using modern technologies, and observed practical processes firsthand. The new “Fuji” apple varieties grown by scientists, plum plantations, and the conditions created in the “Friendship Garden” left a strong impression on the journalists. The event continued with a live concert by the “Agrarian Stars” ensemble. Traditional songs and creative performances brought a festive mood to the guests. At the end, participants were presented with memorable gifts. More than 50 press secretaries and representatives of print and electronic media took part in the press tour. They gained rich information about the university’s scientific capacity, innovative projects, and international cooperation.
