Representatives of Tashkent State Agrarian University, including first-year basic doctoral student of the Department of “Storage, Processing and Packaging of Agricultural Products” J. Gafurov, under the supervision of Professor A.Sh. Azizov, are carrying out scientific research in Yangiyol district. In this area, the Chinese entrepreneur He Shu Li has been cultivating the “Lotoc (Nymphaea lotos)” plant on 7 hectares of land for the past 5 years.
During the process, an exchange of views was held on lotus cultivation technology, agrotechnical measures, stages of plant growth and development, as well as the harvesting period of rhizomes, their sorting, storage, and preparation for drying.
In addition, important agreements were reached on conducting joint scientific research and exchanging experience in the future.
